Toyota New 2024 First Looks, Price & Release Date
Toyota has announced plans to release a new model for the 2020 model year that is targeted specifically at the electric vehicle market. The car, which Toyota is calling the “New 2024,” will have a range of around 200 miles and will be able to charge up in just 30 minutes using an unspecified type of technology.
Toyota New 2024 Toyota BZ Compact SUV: First Looks, Price & Release Date first left us perplexed. Was this a jumbled nameplate? Unable to solve a CAPTCHA? However, the naming makes a bit more sense now that Toyota has teased both a bigger bZ5X SUV and this little bZ3X crossover. The bZ3X, a new vehicle in Toyota’s expanding bZ (Beyond Zero) portfolio, is now only a concept. But it will ultimately fill a void in the size of the C-HR in the company’s planned lineup of Toyota EVs.
The bZ3X is an evident entrance into the sub-compact crossover market of the future. Even though information about the powertrain, Including battery capacity and maximum range, is still being kept under wraps. To release thirty new EVs by 2030, Toyota and Lexus must complete this phase.

The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for a 2023 bZ4X XLE with front-wheel drive is $42,000 plus a $1,215 destination fee. Starting at $46,700 is the Limited trim. For the second electric motor that enables all-wheel drive, add $2,080 to both amounts. Superior paint is a popular option for both trims. The Limited model also includes heated rear seats and a 9-speaker JBL audio system.
Leasing or purchasing a new bZ4X electric car may qualify for a $7,500 federal tax credit, and several states also offer their extra incentives. The ultimate price might include the cost of a home charging system, and Toyota provides a year of free, unlimited recharging at EVgo locations.
2024 Toyota BZ Compact SUV Interior
The BZ Compact SUV goes much further than the BZ4X in departing from Toyota’s customary interior design language. With a large horizontally oriented infotainment touchscreen and a somewhat curved bottom section, there are hardly any visible buttons. With soft storage compartments on either side, the shifter is tucked beneath. The contentious yoke steering wheel found on the BZ4X and Tesla vehicles is also offered on the BZ Compact SUV. But this time with just a fourth side all across the top.
The bottom of the digital driver’s display is curved, and Toyota claims an internal assistant dubbed “Yui” may aid with interior functions. The inside of the BZ Compact SUVs is devoid of leather and is created entirely of renewable materials. Instead, repurposed or plant-based materials were used to make the upholstery.
2024 Toyota BZ Compact SUV Exterior Design
Black is the XLE’s interior’s default color. On the XLE, a gray is an option, but it comes standard just on Limited. Supersonic Red, Element Silver Metallic, Heavy Metal, and Wind Chill Pearl (white) are premium exterior paint options that are available at an additional cost (like a gunmetal gray). A black roof is another option available to buyers of Limited trim. The 2023 bZ4X electric SUV deviates from the typical mainstream Toyota constructed look when these color options are combined with an original stylistic approach.
The dimensions of the latest Toyota RAV4 small SUV are certainly recognizable to the majority of us. The bZ4X is two inches taller, almost the same width, approximately 3.5 inches longer, and has a tad less ground clearance.
2024 Toyota BZ Compact SUV Engine
Although it has not been verified, the BZ Compact SUV is most likely to produce a production version. Toyota submitted patent drawings throughout Australia in September, indicating a potential entry. There is no official information on the engines, but Toyota claims that the BZ Compact SUV would be thrilling and enjoyable to drive. Implying that it will have more power than the 160kW dual BZ4X, which accelerates to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds.
It’s likely that a production version of both the BZ Compact SUV would be built on a variant of the company’s unique e-TNGA electric car platform given that it carries the BZ designation and is one of five vehicles planned to do so, including a teaser sports car.
Driving the Toyota bZ4X in 2023
Driving with just one pedal is becoming more and more popular in electric cars. Every time the driver depresses the accelerator, the degree of brake regeneration causes the vehicle to slow down. On occasion, it will cause the car to lead to a final stop. That is not done by the 2023 bZ4X. The brakes, however, should quickly become second nature even if they first require some getting used to if you are coming from a standard combustion-powered car.
The capacity for maximal torque when accelerating from a stop is another unique feature of electric vehicles. The new bZ4X SUV has a little bit of that. The all-wheel-drive variant has 124 lb-ft of torque at every end and can go from zero to 60 miles in 6.5 seconds. Instead of being searing, that is breezy.
