Kia Soul EX 2024 Release Date, Specs, Review & Price

Kia Soul EX 2024 Release Date, Specs, and Price

The Kia Soul EX 2024 Release Date is set for March 9, 2020. The car will start at $20,000 and go up to around $30,000.

Even though the 2024 Kia Soul EX only has front-wheel drive, it can be sold as a crossover despite being a roomy five-seat hatchback. Due to its attractive design, high efficiency, and reasonable price, it competes with the Toyota C-HR, Nissan Kicks, and Hyundai Venue. The Soul’s boxy design and buzzcut roofline conceal its roots as an inexpensive car. Its snout is shared with other Kias, and this year’s model has a new, practically unreadable emblem as well as tiny LED headlights on higher-end variants.

The ungainly add-ons from the previous X-Line edition have been removed, leaving a cleanly profiled body that develops lines as it gets closer to closing. Compared to the original first-generation Soul, the black trim surrounding the rear pillars and the abundance of cutlines on the tailgate read as clutter, but they are nonetheless striking.

Kia Soul EX 2024 Redesign Features:

The base 2024 Kia Soul EX hatchback now includes an 8.0-inch touchscreen as standard equipment. A technology package that comes standard on the Soul LX includes active lane control, blind-spot monitoring, and automatic emergency braking. Versions featuring a 10.3-inch touchscreen and wireless charging for cell phones are also available. There are four distinct models of the Kia Soul. The Kia Soul comes in the trim levels LX, S, EX, and GT-Line. In the end, they are all more weird than attractive. We love the Soul because of its sleek, athletic exterior and spacious interior. The 2.0-liter inline-4 engine that powers the majority of Souls has 147 horsepower, which is transmitted by a CVT.

It performs on par with a vehicle in its price range, but it is slower and gets only 31 mpg on the highway. With the 201-horsepower turbo-4 engine, it includes a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox that judders noticeably at low speeds. The Soul deserves better treatment because of its plush ride and strong handling. The Soul can accommodate up to five passengers if necessary. Everyone will have enough head and leg room, but the size of backseat passengers will be limited by the shoulder room.

Kia Soul EX 2024 Interior:

The front seats in the 2024 Kia Soul EX are comfortable and big enough for most adults to sit in. Although some of the more costly Soul models have power seats, the majority of Soul vehicles have manual adjustments. The chairs are a perfect fit for the majority of people despite their poor level of comfort. For short trips, three people can fit across the rear seats and a 6-footer can sit behind another 6-footer in the back.

All of this is accomplished by the Soul, which still has a maximum load volume of 24.2 cubic feet, or even more when the back seats are folded. It has a big cargo area, opens completely, and features a rack that can be adjusted to store things. We would have anticipated better materials from the Soul’s base model, which starts at just under $20,000. The seats in the most costly Souls are faux leather, but the majority of Souls in the middle price range have respectable fabric seats.

Kia Soul EX 2024 Engine:

The CVT transfers 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque from the standard 2.0-liter inline-4 engine to the front wheels. Kia no longer offers the manual gearbox option that it did the previous year. This combination is perfect for negotiating city traffic because it doesn’t put too much pressure or force on the front wheels. Even though the steering already feels heavier than that of comparable hatchbacks, adding weight to the steering in Sport drive mode improves the car’s ability to stay in its lane on interstates.

Even with its larger 18-inch wheels, the Soul remains a joy to drive in every condition. This model is the most potent Soul due to its 201 horsepower turbo-4 and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which together produce 195 lb-ft of torque for the front wheels. The car’s engine, which sounds fantastic in advertisements and on spec sheets, has a problem with judder low-speed shifting. It is challenging to shift when traveling at city speeds, and it feels odd in stop-and-go traffic.

Kia Soul EX 2024 Release Date & Price

The 2024 Kia Soul EX costs $20,365, but despite having an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, it lacks autonomous emergency braking. The $22,665 Soul S is the model we’d choose since it comes with the active safety function, better cloth seats, a 10.3-inch touchscreen, and wireless smartphone charging.
